Verallia France reignites the flame of the furnace 3 in its Cognac plant!
On February 8, in the presence of local officials, employees and retirees from Cognac’s plant, Verallia reignited the flame of the furnace 3, dedicated to the color green that is mainly intended for the Bordeaux wine bottle market.
Verallia invested 22 million euros in the tool’s nearly completed reconstruction and its equipment with new machines that are much more adapted to its customers’ needs. Philippe Coltat-Gran, Director of the Cognac plant, said that: “it is significant. Beyond the mostly reconstructed furnace, there are also new IS machines that we are inaugurating today, as well as the nearly completed reconstruction of the Cold End. This new and much more flexible tool is going to improve our customer service by producing in smaller series and in even shorter deadlines”.
