Process & Manufacturing
Manufacturing glass is a highly complex, precise and technical process.
Raw materials and cullet are transferred to a furnace, with temperatures reaching 2800°F, where the batch is melted.
The molten glass is then cut into “gobs” that are dropped into moulds and then formed into a container.
The glass containers then go through “finishing” processes that include reheating the glass containers and cooling them in a controlled manner and coating the bottles with food grade sprays to help the bottles and jars move efficiently down production and filling lines.
After the containers go through a variety of quality measures, they are conveyed to an area to be packaged for shipment to customers.
